Pickleball Platform CourtReserve Secures $54M Investment: 'The Dream Is to Scale'

The engine powering the court-booking software for thousands of pickleball clubs nationwide is getting a major upgrade.

Club-management platform CourtReserve has taken a major leap forward.

Founders Tim Owens and Ashley Owens announced a $54 million growth investment from private‐equity firm Mainsail Partners—marking a bold new chapter in how court-based sports clubs manage scheduling, membership and player experiences.

"We realized we needed the right partner to achieve that vision, one who shares our values, understands SaaS at scale, and believes in what we’ve built," they said.

From sticky notes to thousands of clubs CourtReserve’s story started in 2016, with a vision to replace labor-intensive spreadsheets, phone‐calls and emails at racquet sports clubs.

As Tim recounts:

It wasn’t with a big business plan or a boardroom pitch. It started with a wall full of sticky notes. Ideas scribbled late at night about how to make life easier for racquet court managers, players, and coaches. They were both involved in their local racquet sports communities and felt there must be a better way.

Fast-forward to today, the company is “serving thousands of clubs and millions of players in the U.S. and beyond.” That kind of scale underscores why the Mainsail partnership matters.
